Hop on my train of thought. Procrastinating on my movie/ad assignment, struggling to come up with something interesting and relative. Inspiration struck in the retro posters for V for Vendetta with their flat look and limited color palette. Toyed with idea of doing some vintage movie poster with all the photos and junk I have, but began getting deterred with copyright junk. Hoping to reinspire myself along the same lines, I began looking up screenprinted posters, mainly gig posters. I had briefly discovered the dangerous potential of this combination (droolworthy art + music) before, but didn't have the time to *really* sit and drool. Oh myyyyyyy, I've already bookmared a dozen sites with posters screaming "buy me! hang me! love me!" This timing is either perfect or a perfect disaster. See, I had been wanting to take down all my concert photos from years ago and move toward creating a room covered in my scribblings and art that inspires. With these gig posters it's a perfect balance! I can put up scrumptious artwork and still showcase my music love.
A fabulous source is GigPosters. Just look up your fave band/artist and they bring up all their posters and, hopefully, the artist has a site you can click to and, hopefully again, have the poster available for purchase.

pretty!
So torn with Broken Social Scene. I love this one because it's an image that pops in my head so often, this one because I was there, and this one because *wee* vintage car and I do love a skinny poster.
*sigh*
